GIA Longevity
Framing The Problem
It is projected that in 2025 there will 2 times the number of people aged 60 and over and three times the number of people aged 80 and over. This calls for a critical re-evaluation on how we approach and accommodate ageing and longevity across the life span; from 0 to 100+ years. But efforts to date are largely focused around a singular dimension within a complex ecosystem of change.
A world built for longevity
Approach
We set out to explore and quantify the unique opportunities that longer life expectancy presents to improve and innovate the way we run society. Spanning key societal issues including health and well-being, inclusion, respect, financial stability, research, education and participation. We used this
to embark on a Strategic Journey to envision the optimal roadmap towards designing a new society that e powers everyone to thrive throughout their lifespan.
Breakthrough
The Strategy has positioned GIA as first and only global, cross sectoral collaborating across the Ageing and Longevity ecosystem.
